Location: Glasgow (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Rate: £320/day (Outside IR35)
Duration: July 2026 – December 2026
OverviewSeeking a Senior Java Developer (10+ years) with strong experience in building scalable web applications using Spring Boot, REST APIs, and JEE technologies, combined with solid front-end skills in JavaScript and React. You’ll work in Agile teams, contribute to client-facing solutions, and ensure accessibility best practices.
Key Skills & Experience
Core (Essential)
- Java 8/7, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, REST APIs
- JEE stack: JSF, JPA, JSP, Servlets, JDBC
- Front-end: JavaScript, ReactJS, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS
- XML technologies (DOM, SAX, XSLT)
- Accessibility tools: NVDA, WAVE, Accessibility Insights
Tools & Technologies
- IntelliJ IDEA
- Jenkins, Maven, JIRA
- Git / Subversion
Leadership & Delivery
- Experience leading or mentoring developers
- Strong Agile (SCRUM) experience
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams (Product, BA, QA)
- Client-facing delivery experience
