Yard Sales Adviser

Position

Yard Operative – Bangor site

Hours

07:30 – 16:30 or 08:00 – 17:00 Monday‑Thursday, 07:30 – 15:30 or 08:00 – 16:00 Friday and every other Saturday morning 08:00‑12:00

Key Responsibilities

• Serve customers face‑to‑face, providing the highest level of service and care.
• Prepare orders for collection and delivery, ensuring sales documentation is completed.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure accurate record keeping.
• Load and unload vehicles manually and using a forklift truck (training provided).
• Check all goods inwards and put them away in the correct location.
• Take responsibility for personal and workplace health and safety, observing the Health and Safety at Work Act (PPE provided).
• Carry out any other duties as may be required to meet business objectives.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in a similar role and environment.
• Experience in a customer‑facing role with strong customer advice skills.
• Experience operating a forklift truck.
• Understanding of timber and general building products.
• Methodical, with the ability to prioritise workload.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Experience driving 3.5t vans and FLTs would be extremely beneficial.
