Role Overview
We’re hiring a Support Worker (Peripatetic) to join the CFO Evolution programme. In this role you will carry out effective assessments, deliver tailored interventions, and build strong relationships with stakeholders within custodial settings, supporting participants in identifying and addressing their individual needs to reduce risk of reoffending.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of participants across custody and community settings.
- Deliver pre‑release work and through‑the‑gate support, initial assessments, and tailored action plans.
- Provide one‑to‑one and group interventions that motivate and guide participants.
- Conduct progress reviews and reinforce positive outcomes.
- Accurately record participant data to meet contractual, administrative and financial requirements.
- Achieve individual performance targets and contribute to team targets.
- Lead assessments and interventions to reduce re‑offending and promote engagement with services.
- Travel regularly within the designated cluster (Wiltshire, Somerset, Bristol, Gloucestershire) for caseload management, service delivery, and internal/external meetings.
- Maintain professional development and undertake training identified in performance reviews.
- Adhere to safeguarding, equality, diversity, inclusion, quality, health and safety, and IT policies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Willingness and flexibility to travel across the cluster and work in both community and custodial settings.
- Proven resilience and focus in a fast‑moving, results‑oriented contractual environment.
- Experience engaging individuals with complex needs and disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Capacity to motivate and maintain engagement, supporting positive change.
- Strong time‑management, planning, and organisational skills.
- Excellent verbal, non‑verbal and written communication; ability to engage with people at all levels.
- Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships, including influencing and negotiating where necessary.
- Problem‑solving mindset with proactive approach to overcoming barriers.
- Team‑oriented approach, supporting shared goals and colleagues.
- High levels of initiative and self‑motivation.

- Salary range £25,877 to £29,000 p.a. (dependent on experience).
