The Lygon Arms is a historic luxury hotel with a busy, well-run kitchen at its heart. As part of our collaboration with Chef James Martin, our Grill and Tavern delivers high-quality food in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
We’re looking for a Demi Chef de Partie who is keen to develop their skills, enjoys working in a busy kitchen, and wants to progress within a stable, supportive brigade.
This role offers a clear pathway to Chef de Partie for the right candidate.
The role:
- Supporting a Chef de Partie in the smooth running of a section
- Preparing and delivering dishes to a high standard during busy services
- Working in a high-volume operation with clear structure and support
- Learning how to manage prep, service flow, and consistency
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation and food safety
- Developing your skills with guidance from experienced senior chefs
This is a hands-on, learning-focused role. ideal if you’re ready to take the next step from Commis Chef level.
About you:
- Experience as a Commis Chef or Demi Chef de Partie
- Comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment
- Eager to learn, improve and take on more responsibility
- Calm, organised and reliable during service
- A team player who values structure and good leadership
