A fantastic school in Wantage is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their team starting as soon as possible. This role offers the chance to gain valuable experience while working with a fulfilling job.

Responsibilities

• Engage with and support learners who are struggling in the classroom with their coursework.
• Provide academic support during the school day, helping learners stay on task.
• Support students emotionally and help them process their emotions in a healthy way.
• Work with many children from difficult backgrounds who face stress, anxiety and learning difficulties.

Qualifications

• Passionate about making a difference and helping children achieve their goals.
• Patient, proactive and able to work effectively with young learners.
• Some experience working with children, either in a classroom or other capacity.
• Valid DBS certificate or willingness to apply for one.
• Individuals studying or working toward a career in psychology, education or a related field are especially welcome.
