We are recruiting for a Machine Operative on the Nights shift within Beeston, Leeds.
Hours of Work: 4 nights Mon to Thurs ( two 12-hour shifts 6.00pm to 6.00am and two shifts 10.00pm to 6.00am total 40 hours )
Hourly Rate: £12.97
Weekly Shift Allowance: £56.16
The Machine Operative will produce the necessary spring sheets and Micro coil units for the next production stage as requested by the department Manager/production planner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow daily production instructions and run the correct required springs.
- Monitor raw materials and request as required from the department Manager.
- Monitor quality of products; ensure all quality procedures are adhered to, feed back to the Manager.
- Changing cloth and wire.
- Complete Quality checks to agreed tolerances.
- Monitor machine output.
- General upkeep of the Coilers.
- Checking wire and reject wire correctly.
About You
Skills & Experience required:
- Machine operating or setting experience essential.
- Self-motivated
- The ability to stand, walk and move for up to 8 hours per day.
- Team player.
- Dexterity
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to think clearly and work under pressure.
The ideal candidate will have:
- An enthusiastic and flexible approach to react on a day-to-day basis to all requests, both internal and external.
- The ability to self-manage own time during the working day.
- The ability to multi-task, work to deadlines and prioritise workload to meet production demands.
- A willingness to learn.
