We are currently recruiting for Yard Operatives to join a busy logistics and distribution site based in Normanton. This is a physically demanding role, ideal for individuals who enjoy hands‑on work and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Pay Rates/Shift Info

Days: £12.76ph | 06:00 am – 14:00 pm

Afternoons: £15.95ph | 14:00 pm – 22:00 pm

Nights: £16.97ph | 22:00 pm – 06:00 am

The Role

As a Yard Operative, you will be responsible for supporting the day‑to‑day operation of a busy distribution site, ensuring goods are unloaded and processed efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities

• Handballing stock from trailers and containers
• Loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently
• Supporting the smooth flow of operations across the yard
• Moving products to designated locations
• General yard maintenance and housekeeping duties
• Following site health and safety procedures at all times
• Working to operational targets in a fast‑paced environment

• Ability to carry out heavy lifting and manual handling duties
• Good reliability and punctuality
• Previous experience within a warehouse, yard, or logistics environment is beneficial but not essential
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
