Job Title: Social Worker – Safeguarding Adults

About This Opportunity
We’re seeking three enthusiastic and committed practitioners to join our Safeguarding Adults Team in Cumberland. Based primarily across North and West Cumbria, with flexibility to support other areas, this is an exciting opportunity to take on a pivotal role protecting adults at risk, leading safeguarding enquiries, chairing case conferences, and working closely with partners such as health services, the police, and the voluntary sector.
You’ll manage a varied caseload, provide expert safeguarding advice, and use a strengths‑based approach to empower individuals, reduce risks, and protect vulnerable adults from harm, abuse, and neglect.
Responsibilities
- Protect adults at risk and lead safeguarding enquiries
- Chair case conferences and collaborate with external partners

Qualifications
- Qualified Social Worker with registration on the relevant social work register
- Experience of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding principles is desirable
- Demonstrated commitment to protecting others and working in partnership to create positive outcomes
