Carpenter Multi Trade
Contract Type: Permanent, Full time, 40 hours
Salary: £41,200 per annum
Grade: 05
Working Location: East London (Tower Hamlets, Newham, Barking, Dagenham) and surrounding areas
Persona: Mobile worker – contractual hours to be worked from various locations such as resident homes with ad hoc office attendance as required

Responsibilities
Our Multi trade/Carpenters are expected to carry out a range of tasks inclusive of internal and external door fitting, splice repairs, general locksmith, bathroom sub floors, bath panels and framework kitchen repairs/refits and other general maintenance repairs. Ideally, they will also be able to carry out internal/external window repairs including single and double glazing, repairs to doors, lock refits and repairs.
It is important to have effective communication skills and experience of working in a building and/or housing maintenance environment including a knowledge of a varied housing stock. Customer satisfaction is of utmost importance to L&Q, and we expect operatives to have outstanding customer service and ability to deliver a right first‑time service, limiting follow‑ons and increasing satisfaction. Core hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm in general. There is the opportunity to earn more from call‑outs and out‑of‑hours service.
Qualifications
- Sound working trade knowledge and experience
- Experience gained within a maintenance, site and/or housing environment
- NVQ or equivalent preferred
- Able to deliver excellent customer service
- Right first‑time approach
- Health and safety conscious
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Wide range of multi trade skills
