What you’ll do at work
- Support construction assurance to meet time, cost, and quality targets
- Assist with pre‑construction reviews and readiness checks
- Monitor contractor safety, environmental compliance, and asset standards. Help resolve site issues, non‑conformances, and deviations
- Work with Operations Readiness teams to ensure smooth asset integration
- Help prepare and review RAMS, TWOSAS, and permits
- Take part in audits and performance reviews, driving improvement
- Support planning, lookahead meetings, commissioning, and aftercare

What you’ll learn
Course contents:
- Identify risk of activities and encourage all employees to demonstrate safety‑conscious behaviours
- Assess, identify and record the environmental impact of projects
- Assist in the implementation of the most appropriate solutions for construction projects
- Use effective management principles and be able to supervise construction workers
- Understand overall plan for project and measure and record progress against plan
- Assess and report on quality standards and assist in commissioning of finished construction projects
- Understand financial and legal constraints and measure and record progress against budget
Training schedule
- Knowledge, skills and behaviours as set out in the Level 4 Construction Site Supervisor Standard
- Certificate of Higher Education Construction & Built Environment
- Virtual sessions each week, as well as live seminars and recordings; tasks and learning resources are set on the VLE
Essential qualifications
GCSE in Maths and English (grade 9‑4 or A‑C). Other relevant subject (grade Distinction/Merit/Pass/A‑C). Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience; the apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
