The role of Junior Merchandiser

• Assist in the planning and forecasting of stock levels to meet customer demand
• Analyse sales data and market trends to optimise product performance
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of stock
• Monitor stock levels and propose actions to minimise overstock or shortages
• Support the team in planning promotions and markdown strategies
• Prepare detailed reports on sales performance and inventory levels
• Collaborate with the buying team to ensure product alignment with customer needs
• Assist with maintenance of product databases and system updates

The ideal Junior Merchandiser

• Previous experience in a merchandising or similar role within retail
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities
• Proactive with ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
