Job Description:

Net World Sports is entering an exciting new chapter, expanding globally while continuing to grow into new sports and product lines. As a Merchandiser, you’ll be right at the heart of that growth — driving stock performance, supporting supplier relationships and ensuring our products remain competitive and profitable in an increasingly global market. This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll work closely with Buying, Marketing, Operations and Senior leadership to maximise sales and stock efficiency. If you’re commercially driven and eager to take ownership in a fast-paced environment, this is your chance to make a real difference as we accelerate into the next stage of our journey.

What You’ll Do

  • Maintain relationships with core suppliers and shareholders
  • Assist with supplier negotiations on cost price, lead time and payment terms
  • Create and analyse stock and sales performance reports, highlighting opportunities to drive sales
  • Manage pricing across categories to remain competitive without compromising profitability
  • Analyse sales trends, inventory levels and production schedules to create purchase orders and manage inventory within budget
  • Forecast demand and manage stock to prevent out-of-stock occurrences
  • Build collaborative relationships across departments to maximise sales, profit and efficient stock management
  • Identify opportunities to improve product performance, checking reviews and refund reports

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar fast‑paced role, with buying/purchasing experience essential
  • Experience working with overseas suppliers, typically from the East Asia region
  • Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness
  • Proficiency in Excel for ordering spreadsheets and stock/sales reporting, confident across Microsoft programs
  • Ability to extract data and develop strong awareness of business systems
  • Ability to work proactively and re-actively in a fast‑paced environment and remain calm under pressure
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, detail-oriented, with good knowledge of WSSI and category planning

What You’ll Get

  • Health & Wellbeing: workouts, run club, nature trail, wellness allowances, gym memberships, on‑site gym, golf memberships & mental health support
  • 29 days annual leave (including bank holidays) – increases with length of service
  • Flexible working hours
  • Social events: busy schedule of parties, sports tournaments, charity events & more
  • Table tennis, pool tables & sports equipment in the office
  • Additional benefits: help‑to‑buy scheme, cycle‑to‑work scheme, discounted travel schemes & more
  • Product discount on Net World Sports & affiliate partner products
  • Subsidised on‑site bistro – serving freshly prepared food every day for breakfast & lunch
  • Employee recognition: bonuses & commission schemes, performance, length of service & life event rewards
  • Employee support: saving schemes, legal & financial advice, parental guidance

OUR VALUES

  • Go above and beyond: get stuck in and show your passion
  • Ideas over hierarchy: if you have an idea, speak up – it doesn’t matter what role you’re in, we want everyone to shout about ways the business can develop and improve
  • Be bold, move fast: we value speed; we make fast decisions, trust our guts and get things done efficiently
  • Keep it simple: don’t over‑complicate it
  • Results driven: we embrace results that drive positive change, even if it means occasional failure; mistakes are valuable as long as we learn from them and avoid repeating them
  • Growth: we’re a fast‑growing business and we want our staff to grow with us
