Class 1 driver – Manchester area.
Pay £20.82 – 23.85 depending on shift patterns.
We are currently recruiting a Class 1 Driver to work for our client. Newly passed drivers are welcome to apply, so even if you have limited experience, this could be a great opportunity for you.
The Role
As a Class 1 driver you’ll be reporting to the Team Leader, you will work as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment, adapting to new situations on a daily basis. This is a physically and mentally demanding role that requires reliability, flexibility, and a strong work ethic.
Shifts
Monday to Friday, average 9‑10 hour shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Safe and legal operation of a lorry
- Conducting pre‑trip vehicle checks
- Ensuring loads are secure
- Planning efficient delivery routes
- Adhering to drivers’ hours and road regulations
- Delivering goods to specified locations on time
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence with Category CE (Class 1)
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and safety‑conscious
- Strong work ethic with a positive, can‑do attitude
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Right to work in the UK
- Minimum 1 year’s experience desirable, but not essential
- All drivers must complete a driving assessment and vetting process before starting.
