Hours Weekdays:Mornings, 08:00 – 15:00.Evenings, 16:00 – 21:30.Weekends:Mornings, 08:00 – 14:00. Evenings, 16:00 – 21:30.Exact shifts TBC.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you’ll do at work
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Providing personal care
- Meal preparation
- Companionship
- Escorting service users when shopping
- Oversee medication
- End of life care
Where you’ll work
Training
Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
- You will be required to attend St Austell College a day a week as part of your apprenticeship training
- You will receive on and off-the-job training and support from an assessor and an Apprenticeship advisor
Requirements
GCSE in:
- Maths (grade 3/D)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Other requirements
The apprentice must either have a driving licence or own transport around the Penzance area.
Moving and handling will be required in the role.
The apprentice must be honest and trustworthy, able to work alone and within a team and be able to undertake regular mandatory training.
