Recycling Operator – Temp to Permanent

Location: Blantyre

Pay: £13.91 per hour (PAYE)

This role has become available due to a long‑serving operator retiring. It offers an excellent opportunity to join a stable and supportive team with long‑term prospects.

Working Hours

• 6:00am – 4:00pm
• 7:00am – 4:00pm

The Role

• Managing the co‑mingled waste reception area
• Traffic marshalling vehicles entering and exiting site
• Supporting recycling operations across the facility
• Maintaining safe working practices at all times
• Providing additional cover during busy operational periods when required

Note: this is a hands‑on role within a recycling environment that includes food and garden waste, so applicants should be comfortable working in a physically demanding and sometimes unpleasant environment.

• A reliable and hardworking individual
• Someone comfortable working in an industrial recycling environment
• Flexible approach to work and shift requirements
• Good awareness of health & safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Traffic marshalling experience is beneficial, although full training will be provided

Important Information

• Due to the site location not being serviced well by public transport, candidates with their own transport are strongly preferred.
