Clinical Receptionist & Booking Clerk – Medical Imaging

The Radiology Department is fully committed to effective appraisal and any training and development will be actively encouraged and supported.
Working with a team of highly committed staff, to provide a first class and effective reception and booking service within medical Imaging (Radiology)
Main duties of the job
- Provide administrative/reception service support to facilitate the patient pathway
- Work flexibly across services to provide a booking service, process clinic changes, call centre cover, processing of referrals and undertaking a range of general admin tasks
- Build and maintain close working relationships across the clinical administrative teams, using Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to ensure functions of the role are carried out correctly and within given timescales.
- Ensure accurate data recording using the Patient Administration System (PAS) and E‑referral and other systems; and via the use of Patient Tracking Lists (PTLs) book outpatient/inpatient events in accordance with clinical instruction and national/local waiting time target dates.

Knowledge & Experience
- Previous office/clerical work
- Experience of working in a Hospital
- Knowledge of the Patient Administration System
- Experience of working unsupervised
Qualifications & Training
- Either a minimum of 3 GCSEs including English and Maths at Grade C or above or a qualification at an equivalent level
- IT/Keyboard qualification or able to demonstrate through experience
