This Audit & Accounts Semi Senior role offers a clear focus on accounts work, balanced with audit experience. With a split of approximately 70% accounts preparation and 30% audit, you’ll be able to develop a strong technical foundation while progressing toward full ACA qualification.
What you will be doing
- Preparing statutory accounts for SMEs with growing independence (around 70% of your time)
- Drafting disclosures and supporting schedules for financial statements
- Identifying and resolving routine accounting issues
- Leading assigned audit sections, including substantive testing and documentation (around 30% of your time)
- Producing high-quality working papers with clear reasoning
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Communicating directly with clients to gather information and answer queries
What we’re looking for
- Part-qualified ACA with ongoing studies
- Some practice experience, ideally across both accounts and audit
- Confident communicator, able to liaise with clients effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach
- Desire to take ownership and develop within the accountancy profession
