Position

Enterprise Development Manager (Grade: Manager – £50,558 – £52,471 per annum). Reports to: Assistant Director of Enterprise Development.

Overview

We are a unique all‑island economic development agency with over 25 years of experience supporting thousands of SMEs. We seek to appoint a Manager within the Enterprise Development Team to lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of InterTradeIreland’s innovation and entrepreneurship programmes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of enterprise development initiatives that support start‑ups, scale‑ups and innovative businesses across the island.
  • Ensure programmes are delivered effectively, demonstrate impact, and align with InterTradeIreland’s Corporate Plan and strategic priorities.
  • Stimulate entrepreneurial activity across all sectors, support business growth and innovation, and enable organisations to realise their potential through entrepreneurial thinking and capability development.
  • Identify emerging opportunities and challenges, fostering an environment where start‑ups, scale‑ups and established businesses can thrive.

Ideal Candidate

  • Degree or equivalent third‑level qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in an economic or business development environment with responsibility for strategic programme management.
  • Experience in the development and delivery of programmes or initiatives, including managing performance against clearly defined milestones, targets and budgets, and embedding continuous improvement practices.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience proactively managing and effectively leading a team of direct reports; able to plan and organise work to achieve results within tight deadlines.
