Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a senior forensic/clinical/counselling psychologist to join the inpatient psychology team based at the Humber Centre for Forensic Psychiatry.

The successful candidate will join a friendly and welcoming team comprising forensic, clinical, assistant, and trainee clinical/forensic psychologists. Whilst holding an identity as a psychology team, the members provide psychological input to the hospital across all medium secure wards, and the low secure units on site, maintaining great working relationships with other teams within the service.

Main Duties

  • Conduct forensic risk assessments, develop formulation, and deliver intervention for complex cases.
  • Provide consultation to ward teams and the MDT.
  • Hold a varied and dynamic caseload across the service.
  • Support service development through training, supervision, and CPD.
  • Supervise newer qualified members of the team, including trainee clinical and forensic psychologists.
  • Design and deliver training for colleagues and teach on the Clinical Doctorate at the University of Hull.
  • Provide risk assessments to social services through our SAARC service.
