Overview
We are looking for Fire Safety Inspecting Officers to join our Protection Team. The primary role will be to ensure compliance with the Fire Safety Order 2005. This will include auditing premises, giving advice and carrying out building regulations consultations.
Location
Post is located at Service Headquarters, Shrewsbury, providing free on‑site parking.
Qualifications
Required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum 4 GCSE passes at grades A–C (or equivalent), including English Language and Maths.
- Previous experience of carrying out audits/inspections and delivering talks to groups.
- Either a Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety, or the commitment to achieve it within a specified timescale.
- Willingness to undertake additional courses and qualifications applicable to the role.
- Full valid driving licence.
