Lovely Family Seeking Full Time Nanny / Housekeeper. West Yorkshire
A warm, welcoming family based in West Yorkshire are seeking an experienced and proactive Nanny/Housekeeper. The role is part of a family environment, taking pride in creating a calm and organised household for a busy young family. The family have a 3‑year‑old boy who loves learning and enjoys creative play. He currently attends preschool and will be starting school in September. Both parents run a fast‑paced business, meaning the home environment benefits from someone who is naturally organised, adaptable, and takes initiative. The position combines childcare and household management, and the successful candidate will take ownership of the day‑to‑day running of the home, ensuring everything is smooth, organised, and well‑cared for.
Responsibilities
- Support with school/preschool routines and holiday childcare (housekeeping is the main duty when the child is at school; during school holidays the priority shifts to supporting parents with childcare)
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming home
- Keep on top of washing, ironing, and fresh bed changes
- Run grocery shopping and other household errands
- Prepare light, healthy meals
- Provide occasional dog care for the family dog (no dog walking required)
The role would suit someone who is proactive, takes pride in their work, and enjoys bringing a sense of calm and structure to a home. Live‑in candidates will receive a large studio‑style bedroom in a private area of the house, with plans to create a bespoke annex‑style space with an ensuite.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience as a nanny or housekeeper
- Enhanced DBS certificate
- 12‑hour Paediatric First Aid certificate
- Driving licence (essential, car provided in package is optional)
Working Hours & Compensation
- 35–40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend support or evening babysitting (to be managed with notice)
- Location: West Yorkshire
- Pay: £16 gross per hour for live‑out or £15 gross per hour for live‑in
