Traffic Management Operative

FM Conway is looking for a Traffic Management Operative to join our Traffic Management division based from our Stevenage depot. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working a mixture of day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Setting up temporary traffic lights as required.
• Assisting with the diversion of traffic.
• Maintaining and removing the traffic lights within the required time scale.
• Managing the traffic flow at the temporary traffic lights, ensuring the public is abiding by lights.
• Working closely with management and crews and taking instructions from the management team.
• Ensuring that sites are safe and carrying out on-site assessments.
• Taking appropriate action in the event of an emergency, particularly ensuring the appropriate people are notified.
• Being available on a rota basis for out-of-hours on-call duty if needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of traffic management operations.
• Valid CSCS card and traffic management Lantra tickets.
• Ability to read and interpret CAD traffic management drawings.
• Awareness and compliance with provided RAMS.
