Employment Solicitor (2–4 PQE) | Glasgow or Edinburgh

A progressive and highly regarded Scottish firm is seeking an Employment Solicitor to join its growing team in either Glasgow or Edinburgh. About the Team

The Employment team is widely recognised for its expertise across both contentious and non-contentious matters, acting for a diverse client base including SMEs, large corporates, public sector bodies and third sector organisations.

The team is known for delivering pragmatic, commercially astute advice and is regularly involved in complex and high-profile matters. There is a strong emphasis on collaboration, with close working relationships across corporate, commercial and litigation teams, ensuring a varied and engaging workload.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a 2–4 PQE solicitor to further develop a broad Employment law practice within a supportive and ambitious team.

You will:

  • Advise on a full spectrum of employment matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, redundancies and TUPE
  • Manage Employment Tribunal litigation and support on more complex disputes
  • Provide strategic, day-to-day HR advice to a varied client base
  • Assist with corporate transactions, including due diligence and employment-related structuring
  • Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives

The role offers a strong balance of contentious and advisory work, with increasing levels of responsibility, high-quality matters and direct client contact.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be UK qualified with 2–4 years’ PQE in Employment law
  • Have experience gained within a reputable commercial firm or specialist employment practice
  • Demonstrate solid technical ability alongside a practical, solutions-focused approach
  • Be confident managing matters and communicating directly with clients
  • Be collaborative, personable and motivated to develop a long-term career in Employment law
