Description

As aSenior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for drivingefficiencies; managing costs and regional performance for ourclients. This role will see you take control of all financialaspects of the project; overseeing all commercial & contractualmatters. You will deliver desired margin return utilising highstandards of commercial acumen. Whilst identifying, recording andtracking, both risks andopportunities.

KeyResponsibilities

We are looking forsomeone to:

  • Manage the contract performance including weekly P&Lreporting
  • Review contract documents andmitigate any issues
  • Control the progress andcash flow forecast information
  • Managecommercial forecasts, Cost Value Reconciliation (CVRs) and ProjectFinance Reports
  • Take responsibility forSubcontractor Management; including Subcontract Forecasting,raising Subcontractor Orders and Negotiating Subcontractterms
  • Prepare subcontract documents, enquiriesand assessment of quotations
  • Overseesubcontract orders, agreement and certification of subcontractvaluations, invoice, subcontract payments and final accountagreements
  • Be responsible for the managementof the change control process, risk and value management
  • Manage and track project changes, variations and/ornotices
  • Assess and value variations andcompensation events
  • Prepare and submit interimvaluations and payment applications to clients, along with theagreement of final accounts
  • Attend riskreview, progress and commercial meetings on-site with theClient
  • Be actively involved with tenders andpricing
  • Oversee Credit Control with cashrecovery and forecasting
  • Support theoperational team in daily commercial and contractualaspects

Skills, Knowledgeand Expertise

  • Degreequalification (RICS accredited or equivalent) is desirable but notessential
  • NEC4 experiencepreferable.
  • Ideally you will have experienceworking in the Utilities industry
  • Soundknowledge of contracts – NEC preferred
  • Abilityto prioritise workload, multi-task and work under tight timepressures
  • Excellent communicationskills
