Description
As aSenior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for drivingefficiencies; managing costs and regional performance for ourclients. This role will see you take control of all financialaspects of the project; overseeing all commercial & contractualmatters. You will deliver desired margin return utilising highstandards of commercial acumen. Whilst identifying, recording andtracking, both risks andopportunities.
KeyResponsibilities
We are looking forsomeone to:
- Manage the contract performance including weekly P&Lreporting
- Review contract documents andmitigate any issues
- Control the progress andcash flow forecast information
- Managecommercial forecasts, Cost Value Reconciliation (CVRs) and ProjectFinance Reports
- Take responsibility forSubcontractor Management; including Subcontract Forecasting,raising Subcontractor Orders and Negotiating Subcontractterms
- Prepare subcontract documents, enquiriesand assessment of quotations
- Overseesubcontract orders, agreement and certification of subcontractvaluations, invoice, subcontract payments and final accountagreements
- Be responsible for the managementof the change control process, risk and value management
- Manage and track project changes, variations and/ornotices
- Assess and value variations andcompensation events
- Prepare and submit interimvaluations and payment applications to clients, along with theagreement of final accounts
- Attend riskreview, progress and commercial meetings on-site with theClient
- Be actively involved with tenders andpricing
- Oversee Credit Control with cashrecovery and forecasting
- Support theoperational team in daily commercial and contractualaspects
Skills, Knowledgeand Expertise
- Degreequalification (RICS accredited or equivalent) is desirable but notessential
- NEC4 experiencepreferable.
- Ideally you will have experienceworking in the Utilities industry
- Soundknowledge of contracts – NEC preferred
- Abilityto prioritise workload, multi-task and work under tight timepressures
- Excellent communicationskills
