I am delighted to be partnering with a leading law firm to assist in the recruitment of a Finance Systems Manager—a pivotal role responsible for overseeing and enhancing the firm’s finance systems. This position involves leading a team of six to support the Finance and Risk departments, ensuring the integrity of systems and managing core data structures. The Finance Systems Manager will also focus on streamlining processes, improving data accuracy, and identifying system changes and new features in collaboration with key stakeholders. Additional responsibilities include participating in IT change control processes, working closely with suppliers and external consultants, and ensuring compliance with SRA rules and internal accounting policies. The role also supports the Director of Finance and wider team with ad hoc requests and contributes to routine project work related to system developments and upgrades.
The ideal Finance Systems Manager will bring a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership, and industry-specific experience. They will have a proven track record of managing a team of systems analysts within a legal practice and possess in-depth knowledge of finance procedures in this environment. Proficiency with Elite 3E and Intapp risk management solutions is essential, alongside strong data analysis skills, particularly in advanced SQL and Excel. The successful candidate will be capable of translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders, demonstrating clear communication and collaboration skills. In addition, they will bring solid staff and project management experience, coupled with a methodical approach and exceptional attention to detail.
