Interim Education Procurement Consultant

East Midlands

Interim Procurement Consultant – 6 Month Contract

We are seeking an experienced Interim Procurement Consultant to support an education provider in the East Midlands in reviewing and strengthening its procurement processes.

This is a strategic and hands‑on role where you will analyse the current procurement landscape, develop a practical action plan, and implement improvements to ensure a robust and compliant procurement framework for the organisation.

The Role

The successful consultant will:

  • Conduct a full review of the schools current procurement processes
  • Identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities
  • Develop a clear and practical procurement action plan
  • Design and implement a new procurement training programme
  • Roll out the training to ensure long‑term compliance and best practice

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a consultant with:

  • Strong understanding of procurement governance and compliance
  • Experience delivering process improvements and training
  • The ability to operate strategically while delivering practical implementation
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Location: Hybrid – with at least one on‑site visit per week, potentially more depending on project requirements.
