Overview

European Business Development Manager – Aerospace & Advanced Materials

Location: Fully Remote (UK) | European Travel

Salary: Excellent Salary + Bonus + Benefits

SJ Executive are exclusively partnering with a globally successful engineering organisation with a rich heritage supplying high-performance polymer and advanced material solutions into aerospace and defence markets.

Due to continued European growth, our client is seeking a European Business Development Manager to drive new business and strategic revenue expansion. The role manages an established revenue stream with a clear objective to significantly grow the business over the next 2-3 years.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a European B2B sales strategy aligned with growth objectives
  • Identify and secure new customers across aerospace, defence and advanced materials markets
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of new business opportunities
  • Convert RFQs into long-term customer contracts
  • Analyse market trends, customer requirements and competitor activity across Europe
  • Implement value-based selling strategies to maximise profitability
  • Negotiate commercial agreements with key customers and partners
  • Work closely with engineering, production and marketing teams to deliver tailored solutions
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, exhibitions and trade shows

Qualifications

  • Proven B2B business development experience within aerospace, defence, polymers or advanced materials sectors
  • Background selling polymer technologies, engineered materials, sealing solutions, composites or similar technical products
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand engineering drawings and complex solutions
  • Demonstrated success winning new business in competitive markets
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills
