Role Overview: As the Lead Engineer at Goswell Road, you will lead and ensure the safe, efficient, and resilient operation of all critical engineering systems. You will be responsible for overseeing planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Supervision
- Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure high standards of workmanship.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship.
- Operational Excellence
- Ensure all critical systems (HVAC, electrical, fire suppression, BMS, etc.) are maintained to the highest standards.
- Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works.
- Ensure all engineering activities are logged and documented accurately.
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, health & safety, and company policies.
- Conduct risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
- Support audits and inspections, ensuring readiness and documentation.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure service delivery.
- Support project works and upgrades with minimal disruption to operations.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for energy efficiency and operational improvements.
- Support training and development initiatives for the engineering team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Recognised engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in supervising engineering teams within critical environments (data centres, hospitals, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of building services systems (electrical, mechanical, HVAC).
- Experience with CMMS systems and BMS platforms.
- IOSH/NEBOSH certification (desirable).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Working Conditions
- 42 hours per week, rota basis, continental shift.
- On-call rota participation may be required.
- Occasional weekend or night work depending on operational needs.
