Location: London/Hybrid

We’re seeking a Risk & Compliance Officer to join our Risk and Compliance team, part of the wider Legal, Risk and Compliance function within a large, established international group.

This role offers the best of both worlds: you’ll be a key contributor in a small, specialist, and collaborative team, while benefiting from the scale, structure, and professional standards of a large corporate group.

The role

Working closely with a small team of experienced specialists, you’ll have real visibility and ownership across a broad range of activities, while also engaging with stakeholders across the wider organisation. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), including data capture, interrogation, redaction, and communication with data subjects
  • Administration of insurance claims, including notification, investigation, and collation of evidence to support the Company’s position
  • Supporting responses to data breaches
  • Working with individual business units to develop and maintain risk registers (enterprise, corruption/fraud, and modern slavery)
  • Assisting with compliance activities, including conflicts of interest, gifts and hospitality, and ethics-related training
  • Supporting ad hoc investigations into alleged non-compliance with Dalkia policies and procedures
  • Maintaining and updating the Legal, Risk and Compliance SharePoint site
  • Supporting the development of policies, procedures, internal communications, and training relating to business ethics, GDPR, risk, and insurance
  • Reporting on internal control compliance to the parent company in France
  • Ensuring compliance with UK data protection requirements
  • Supporting compliance with EDF and Dalkia standards and requirements

Skills and experience

Experience in two or more of the following areas would be beneficial:

  • Insurance
  • GDPR and data protection (including DSARs and DPIAs)
  • Risk management
  • Internal control and compliance

You’ll also bring:

  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Experience using SharePoint (desirable)
  • The ability to manage and prioritise a varied and changing workload
  • Strong analytical and evaluation skills
