*About the Role*
St Annes College Grammar School (SACGS) is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teacher of Geography to join our small, supportive school community. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Years 7–11).
This is a 0.6 part-time role (Monday–Wednesday), starting after Easter 2026 and running until July 2026 in the first instance.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4.* Teach and support students working towards IGCSE Geography.* Assess, monitor and record pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.* Maintain effective classroom management and uphold school policies.* Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning.* Support pupils with a range of needs, ensuring inclusive practice.* Participate in staff meetings, training, and wider school life as required.
*Requirements*
Essential
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.* Degree in Geography or closely related subject.* Ability to teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.* Strong classroom management and organisational skills.* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
Desirable
* Experience teaching IGCSE Geography.* Experience working with pupils with SEN.* Experience in an independent school environment.
