About the role
A well-established engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join its expanding design team. This contract role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile data centre and building services projects, contributing to detailed design development and service coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site surveys, testing, and reporting on existing installations
- Attend technical meetings with design teams and contractors
- Perform electrical calculations using Amtech, ProDesign, or similar software
- Prepare technical drawings and tender specifications
- Mentor and oversee junior engineers and trainees
Skills & Experience
- Proficient in electrical design and specification across various building types
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Familiarity with British Standards and building regulations
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and quality output
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical or Environmental Engineering
- HNC/ONC/BTEC in Building Services Engineering or equivalent
