Job Description: In this role, employees will be operating a van over designated routes and transporting Coventry School Students back and forth from home to school. Drivers will do a pre and post inspection of the vehicle daily. Drivers will fuel and maintain cleanliness of the inside of the vehicle. Attend and participate in safety meetings as needed.

- School Department Responsibilities:Provide a letter of support to the DMV for employeesArrange for a physical at predetermined location to obtain the DOT Medical Certification cardArrange for the employee to take the written test at the DMVProvide the employee with the written test manual and practice testProvide the vehicle GU1338 insurance documentProvide vehicles that have passed the state required safety inspectionReimburse employee for all fees related to securing the required licenseEmployee Responsibilities21 years old, active driver’s license for 3 years, clean driving record for 3 yearsMedical Certification card (Renewed Annually or if 65 and older every 6 months )BCIChauffeur’s licenseTake and pass the Pupil Transportation Vehicle Test written testMeets all other DOT Licensing Requirements to transport students
