QA / QC Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Construction Quality Manager to join our client’s dynamic team. This role will involve overseeing the quality assurance and control for a £45m care home scheme in Chester. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in construction quality management, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for maintaining the highest standards in residential / multi-room developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and manage quality control procedures to ensure all construction activities meet the required standards and specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor progress and compliance with quality standards.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive quality management documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to address quality issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Provide training and support to site teams on quality control procedures and best practices.
• Review and approve materials, ensuring they meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all projects comply with relevant building codes and legislation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quality Manager in the construction industry, preferably in residential projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and quality assurance techniques.
• Strong understanding of UK building regulations and quality standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a culture of quality and excellence.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex situations effectively.
• Proficient in using quality management software and tools.
