We are currently recruiting for a Resident Engineer to join a well-established building services provider, working on a high‑end, multi‑use commercial site based in King’s Cross.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an all‑round engineer with an electrical, mechanical, or plumbing background who is looking for a stable, site‑based role with strong overtime potential and no call‑out requirement.
The role is based across a modern four‑floor facility, consisting of commercial office space alongside premium amenities including a gym, sauna, steam rooms, and changing facilities. You will be working closely with a Lead Engineer, supporting the day‑to‑day maintenance and ensuring the smooth operation of the building.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across all building services
- Attending and resolving reactive maintenance issues
- Supporting electrical, mechanical, and basic plumbing systems
- Maintaining plant areas and ensuring all facilities are operating efficiently
- Assisting the Lead Engineer with ongoing site requirements and tasks
- Completing maintenance records and ensuring compliance with health & safety standards
As part of the role, you will also travel to a Bristol site 2–3 days per month to carry out PPM works, with all travel and expenses fully covered.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a building services or facilities maintenance role
- Electrically, mechanically, or plumbing qualified (or strong hands‑on experience)
- A proactive, xlqdzyr flexible approach with a willingness to get involved in all aspects of maintenance
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
What’s On Offer
- Salary of £40,000
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm
