About You
In one of our manufacturing roles, you’ll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center.
In this role you will systematically lead the end‑to‑end lifecycle of multiple capital investment projects ensuring that they are delivered safely, on time and within budget. While adhering to the functional design specification and applying an in‑depth understanding of operational requirements and legislative compliance throughout, you’ll train and mentor others, creating a legacy of best practice at our Barrow in Furness factory on the edge of the beautiful Lake District!
Responsibilities
- Provide vision and leadership in the continual analysis, design, development, implementation and optimisation of processes, equipment and infrastructure through management of capital project investment programmes across Barrow Mill and full adherence to the Kimberly‑Clark Capital Project Administration Manual.
- Use KPI’s to meet long‑term and short‑term strategic business goals, ensuring mill capital investments are accurately scoped and prioritised through reviews of HSE implications, return on investment, strategic opportunities and sustaining asset lifecycle management.
- Champion and continuously improve all site safety requirements, including the supervision of contractors, the permit‑to‑work process, risk assessments and method statements.
- Take ownership and deliver on one or more OSH performance standards as a responsible person or a deputy responsible person.
- Provide engineering‑biased operational technical advice, leading complex operational/project problem‑solving activities, to achieve business objectives.
Qualifications
- You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in an Engineering discipline.
- Experience leading high‑valve end‑to‑end capital investment programmes.
- Flexibility to travel globally from 0‑20% of the year to meet project and business needs.
- Legislative machinery safety and CE marking qualifications – or willingness to attend remote courses to gain this competence.
- FMCG process knowledge.
Desirable
- Process knowledge related to tissue manufacturing and/or tissue converting equipment and/or automation.
- Experience in SAP GUI – maintenance, purchase orders, WBS management.
- 2D/3D CAD experience – AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
