Job Description:

At Planit, we design for a regenerative future.

We’re looking for a talented and ambitious Senior Landscape Architect to join our growing Leeds studio — an opportunity to become part of one of the UK’s most progressive, purpose-driven design practices.

As an Employee-Owned business and one of the highest accredited B-Corp practices of our kind globally, we believe exceptional design should create value equally for people, planet and profit. Our work is grounded in meaningful, lasting impact, shaping places that restore, connect and inspire communities.

Located in the heart of one of the UK’s fastest growing and exciting cities, our Leeds studio is home to a dynamic team working across an exceptional portfolio of projects spanning multiple sectors, regions and scales. From strategic landscapes, parks and public realm to transformative urban regeneration, our work offers the chance to help shape some of the most significant environments in the city and the northeast. This role offers far more than project delivery. It is an opportunity for sustained personal and professional growth within a collaborative, design-led culture that values creativity, curiosity and shared learning. You will work closely across disciplines and alongside colleagues from our five studios, contributing your own strengths while mentoring and inspiring emerging talent across the practice.

Our Senior Landscape Architects are independent thinkers and confident designers — people who lead career-defining projects with creativity, technical rigour and genuine purpose. We are looking for someone with a minimum of six years’ post‑graduate experience (or equivalent) within a creative practice, who is a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute and thrives in a collaborative studio environment. You should be highly motivated, engaging, and possess strong conceptual and technical design abilities, alongside a passion for creating exceptional places.

This full‑time role is based on 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday).

Benefits

  • Competitive salary £41,000 – £45,000, according to level of experience
  • Minimum 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Flexible start and finish times (core working hours are 10.00am to 4.30pm)
  • Hybrid working (generally one day per week from home if full‑time)
  • Company pension
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity pay
  • Professional membership support
  • Ongoing CPD opportunities
  • Annual study trip

At Planit, diversity of thought, background and experience strengthens our work and our culture. We are proud to be an inclusive workplace and warmly welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
