Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing
Pay: £92.56 – £95 per day (paid via PAYE – no umbrella company fees)
Start Date: ASAP or a start date that suits you
About the Role
As a Primary Support Assistant in Rotherham, you will play an important role in helping pupils access learning and participate fully within the classroom.
You may support whole-class learning, small intervention groups, or provide one-to-one support where required, helping to create a positive and inclusive environment where children can thrive.
This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and are looking for flexible opportunities within education.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning across primary classrooms
- Deliver small group and intervention support where required
- Assist pupils with classroom activities and learning tasks
- Encourage confidence, independence and positive behaviour
- Support children’s emotional wellbeing and engagement
- Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff
- Maintain safeguarding standards and school procedures
Candidate Requirements
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
- Experience supporting children within schools, nurseries or childcare settings
- Friendly, patient and adaptable approach
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
