Managing Data Scientist
We are seeking a Managing Data Scientist with strong expertise in Artificial Intelligence to lead the design, development, and delivery of advanced AI solutions. In this role, you will guide project teams, shape AI strategy, and work with stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes across complex initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver AI solutions using modern techniques, including foundation models and large language models
- Define and implement AI and cognitive computing strategies aligned with organisational and project objectives
- Lead the full lifecycle of AI solution development, from initial design through to deployment and evaluation
- Mentor and support mid‑level data scientists, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous development
- Build strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and effective delivery

Bachelor’s Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
- Extensive experience in AI, machine learning, and data science, with a strong focus on foundation models and large language models
- Masterful proficiency in Python and expertise in AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services
- Proven track record of delivering complex AI solutions in a professional setting
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Experience with generative AI models and deep learning architectures
- Familiarity with modern UI frameworks (Backbone.js, AngularJS, React.js, Ember.js, Bootstrap, JQuery)
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (SQL, Postgres, DB2, MongoDB)
- Understanding of various operating systems (Linux, Windows, iOS, Android)
Security Screening
This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personal Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NVS) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
