Position: Learning Disability Support Worker
Hours per week: Full Time
Salary: £12.71
About the service
This service is located in Orford, Warrington and supports individuals with complex needs, including mental health needs and/or learning disabilities. We provide supported living in small, well-equipped homes designed to help people live as independently and confidently as possible. We take a person-centred approach to everything we do, tailoring support to each individual’s needs, preferences, and goals. We create personalised care plans in collaboration with the people we support and their families.
A Day in the Life of a Support Worker
As a Support Worker, no two days are the same. Our approach is centred around person-centred planning, tailoring support to meet each individual’s needs. We are committed to achieving positive outcomes for every person we support and celebrating milestones in their personal development. You will receive comprehensive training to provide a wide range of support, including personal care, behavioural support, promoting independence and confidence, and building positive relationships through effective communication.

Previous experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviour is essential for this role. Training and qualifications will be provided on the job. - Support and mentor new colleagues during induction

Qualifications
- Desirable: A recognised health or social care qualification

Experience
- Essential: Willingness to learn and develop professionally

Technical Skills
- Essential: Ability to manage basic numerical data
