Locum Consultant in Emergency Medicine

12 months fixed term, full time. Salary Scale – £111,430 – £148,064 per annum pro rata.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain shop‑floor presence of senior emergency physicians in Forth Valley’s Emergency Department.
  • Provide consultant‑delivered care and supervision of junior medical staff.
  • Support training and shop‑floor supervision of junior staff.
  • Support a nurse‑led Minor Injuries Unit at Stirling Community Hospital.
  • Maintain highest standards of emergency medical care and contribute to leadership within the department.

Requirements

  • Full GMC registration and licence to practise.
  • Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR), or within 6 months of CCT/CESR at time of interview.
  • High clinical profile with drive and initiative to sustain the highest standards of emergency medical care.
  • Experience in emergency medicine (consultant level).
