Locum Consultant in Gastroenterology

Full time or Part time (10 PA, including up to 2 PA SPA, for full time)

Salary Scale – £111,430 – £148,064 per annum (pro rata if part time)

Responsibilities

• Contribute to general clinical Gastroenterology and GI endoscopy service.
• Participate in sub‑specialty areas including inflammatory bowel disease, EUS, pancreatobiliary disease, hepatology, viral hepatitis, nutrition and upper gastrointestinal pathology.
• Commit to an out‑of‑hours GI bleed rota with prospective cover of colleagues.
• Support the development and redesign of Gastroenterology services as part of a fully integrated, team‑based approach to patient care.
• Engage in weekly multi‑disciplinary team meetings (upper GI, HPB, colorectal, IBD).

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration and licence to practise.
• MRCP (UK) or equivalent, or entry onto the GMC Specialist Register within six months of the anticipated award of a CCT at interview.
• Portfolio pathway applicants must be entered onto the GMC Specialist Register at time of application.
• Evidence of recent continued academic and professional development.
• Excellent communication, listening and organisational skills.
