About the Role
We are looking for a talented and ambitious Quantity Surveyor with consultancy experience who is dedicated to providing an excellent service to join our growing and successful team in Kibworth. We are seeking applications from experienced Employer’s Agents and Quantity Surveyors who have a Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Cost Management or a related field, and ideally, a Chartered member of the RICS. Responsibilities
- Take the lead on a range of construction projects and supervise the work of the assistants and apprentices in your team, helping them to fulfil their potential.
- Act as the principal point of contact with the project client and the other consultants on the design team.
- Work independently and take responsibility for the successful delivery of Gateley RJA’s QS/PM services on all projects you and your team are working on.
- Actively look to take on additional responsibility and be able to stand in for the Associate or Senior QS when they are unavailable.
- Act as Employer’s Agent on Design and Build projects.
- Follow the company Quality Management System in the delivery of all services.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and develop excellent time‑management strategies.
- Provide clients with an exceptional level of service and undertake a minimum of 20 hours of Continuing Professional Development every year.

Candidates will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
- Degree level in Quantity Surveying, Construction Cost Management or a related field.
- Ideally, a Chartered member of the RICS, or a commitment to achieve Chartered status within 3 years of starting at Gateley RJA.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in running own projects as quantity surveyor and/or project manager for either a private practice, construction company or related organisation.
- Proficiency in measurement, ideally using CostX Measurement Software.
- Experience in running projects independently.
- Strategically minded with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Skilled negotiator.
- Driving licence and own car, willingness to travel to sites across the UK as required.
