We are seeking a talented Product Support Engineer to join our Post Design Support Team, focusing on in-service and in-production equipment. As a valued member of our organisation, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing designs used across a range of our in-service and production projects. This role provides a unique platform to apply and grow your engineering capability across multiple disciplines.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate seamlessly with engineering and project teams to deliver high‑quality technical outcomes.
  • Provide expert advice and review on electrical design, contributing to the success of every project.
  • Embrace a variety of engineering tasks that support projects and programs, showcasing your adaptability and versatility. These tasks include:
    • Supporting a portfolio of mission critical systems that need to be in service for multiple decades, ensuring continued capability and reliability.
    • Taking responsibility for design changes and ensuring correct design incorporation throughout the engineering lifecycle.
    • Liaising confidently with customers, ensuring clear communication, technical alignment, and professional representation of the organisation.
    • Providing engineering support across both in‑service and production engineering environments, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and improvements are implemented effectively.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings, contributing your insights to shape the future of our business.
  • Maintain thorough and organised documentation, following our local operating procedures.

What You’ll Bring:

  • A minimum of HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, demonstrating your strong education background.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with staff across engineering and other business functions to drive progress on tasks and actions.
  • A team player mentality, thriving in a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, allowing you to excel in various tasks.
  • A rapid learner with a flexible and adaptable engineering approach, ready to tackle diverse challenges related to engineering problems.
  • An accurate, diligent, and methodical approach to work in an engineering environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the business including suppliers and customers.
  • Familiarity with electrical schematic capture and drawing review, displaying your comprehensive understanding of the design process.
  • Knowledge of electronics, enhancing your ability to innovate and explore new possibilities.
  • Experience in supporting the design, assembly, test, and delivery of complex Defence systems, demonstrating your expertise in high‑stakes projects.
  • Experience in designing Electrical systems, demonstrating your expertise in complex and high‑stakes projects.
