Production Support Specialist

Roles & Responsibilities

Knowledge and experience from a similar industrial industry including electronics, mechanical and manufacturing disciplines:

• Understand build test philosophies.
• Investigate production failures and propose new solutions.
• Support PCB and Product build.
• Experience in PCB/Product fault finding to component level and supply root‑cause analysis.
• Familiarity and knowledge of the following areas of electronic hardware design:
• Digital/microprocessor.
• Memories, DSP/Microcontrollers.
• Analogue.
• Power supply.
• Ability to communicate with Hardware Engineers within the R&D Hardware Service Team and other engineering departments such as software and applications to ensure timely resolution of production issues.
• Adherence to documented policies and procedures to uphold quality of designs.
• PCB analysis of failed production PCBs using problem‑solving techniques.

Requirements

• Degree qualified in a relevant discipline with 2+ years of experience preferred.
• HND in Electronics with approved apprenticeship and minimum 3 years of experience.
• Computer literate.
• Experience in the use of design/simulation tools.
• Relevant experience in fault finding and root‑cause analysis, leading investigations, and completing full implementation within business timescales.
• Detailed knowledge of existing and future test philosophies.
• Proven high‑level experience and knowledge of electronic hardware, ability to understand circuit designs, propose support solutions and diagnose to component level.
