The role of Accounts Receivable Assistant:
- Process and manage accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and issue invoices in a timely manner
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure payments are received as per agreed terms
- Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies promptly
- Maintain accurate financial records and update the accounting system regularly
- Assist in preparing financial reports related to accounts receivable
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices and payments professionally
- Credit control via phone and email
- Support the accounting and finance team with additional tasks as needed
The ideal Accounts Receivable Assistant:
- Previous experience in accounts receivable or a related accounting and finance role (suitable for juniors looking to start their finance career)
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Confidence and excellent telephone manner
- Organisational and time management skills
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
