Events Coordinator – Shark Club & Sandman Signature Hotel Gatwick

Our people are the heart and soul of our business, and we are on the hunt for positive, hospitality-driven, team-oriented individuals to join our Events Team at Shark Club and Sandman Signature Hotel Gatwick. The Events Coordinator plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding experiences for every guest, ensuring they leave happier than when they arrived, while fostering a strong sense of teamwork among colleagues. This fast-paced, rewarding role involves a diverse mix of events, from corporate functions and private celebrations to live sports nights and themed experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver memorable events from initial enquiry through to execution
  • Orchestrate exceptional guest experiences by anticipating needs and going the extra mile
  • Liaise with guests, clients, and internal teams to ensure smooth event delivery
  • Support event setup, hosting, and breakdown when required
  • Assist with creating bookings, managing event details, and upselling packages
  • Exhibit hospitality essentials such as answering queries, supporting service, and assisting the team during events
  • Handle guest feedback and concerns professionally, ensuring every guest leaves happy
  • Help maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment
  • Work closely with bar, kitchen, and hotel teams to deliver seamless experiences

Key Requirements

  • Strong ability to lead conversations and engage confidently with guests
  • Outgoing, positive, and energetic personality
  • Highly organised with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • A natural team player with a proactive mindset
  • Comfortable promoting food, drink, and event experiences
  • Previous hospitality or events experience is an advantage (but not essential)

Working Hours

Flexible shifts including evenings and weekends. Weekend work is required, but not every week, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
