The Role

Our client is a highly recognised private bank specialising in investment, institutional asset management & private wealth management.

The Tax Reporting Analyst will form part of the Reporting Team, ensuring high quality and accuracy of the non-financial reporting completed by the Private Bank, meeting all regulatory obligations, in an environment which is subject to constant change and evolution.

The team is responsible for the processing, control, oversight and continual improvement in respect of tax regulations and reporting related to US WI, FATCA, CRS, CGT and their associated annual tax packs. There will be an opportunity to learn and develop new skills in regulatory reporting.

The Tax Reporting Analyst will manage data quality across the bank which impacts the quality of the various Tax reporting obligations. Monitor, review, and manage controls to ensure continuous improvement in Tax reporting. Act as a key contact for internal colleagues and any third parties.

The Tax Reporting Analyst will follow up on requests from internal/external auditors and regulatory authorities. Understand regulatory risk sensitivity and develop an end-to-end view of the Bank’s flow/process.

Liaise and coordinate with all departments responsible for the underlying data for the necessary corrections, explanations, data input and resubmission of the amended report(s). Participate in the data preparation and validation for reporting such as FATCA/CRS, where required.

The Tax Reporting Analyst will produce both regular and ad-hoc reporting statistics for internal and external parties. Contribute to any testing linked to regulatory and reporting updates.

Act as back-up contact for QI/FATCA/CRS Data quality control, Reconciliation, and Reporting.

The Tax Reporting Analyst will have the ability to manage and interrogate large amounts of data files and be able to present to various audiences.

The Candidate

  • 4-5 years of Tax Reporting experience in banking or financial services.
  • Knowledge of US WI, FATCA, CRS, CGT.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of periodic reporting to FCA and BoE preferred.
  • Strong analytical and macro skills, able to make complex data reconciliation.
