About The Job You Are Considering

We are seeking a Cloud Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in modern data engineering frameworks, cloud technologies, and distributed data processing systems. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to enable data-driven decision-making by delivering high-quality, reliable, and scalable data solutions.

Hybrid Working

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role

  • Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading data.
  • Build and optimize batch and real-time data pipelines.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources (APIs, databases, streaming systems, files).
  • Develop and manage data lakes, lakehouses, and data warehouses.
  • Work with cloud-native services such as AWS (S3, Glue, Redshift), Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake), GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow).
  • Implement large-scale data transformations using Apache Spark / PySpark SQL-based transformations, build reusable data models and ensure data quality and consistency.

Your Skills

  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates).
  • Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to:
  • Machine learning pipelines (optional).
  • DataOps / DevOps practices.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical thinking.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to work in agile environments.
