We are now hiring for a Data and Digital Engineer to deliver Transformation within Cambridgeshire Constabulary by maximising opportunities for digital and data exploitation improving productivity and achieve efficiencies.

Internal Applicants

What does the Digital and Data Engineer role involve?

You will be working within a small team. The team delivers transformational change and the role is important because it helps to deliver secure, scalable digital, data and technology solutions across Cambridgeshire Constabulary. Every day is different whatever your role in policing, so here’s an overview of your day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Deliver digital and data solutions that support force transformation, productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Engineer, onboard and maintain data platforms, tools and datasets to meet operational and business needs.
  • Work with operational teams, ICT colleagues and commercial suppliers to translate requirements into effective solutions.
  • Lead capability development, adapting or uplifting existing data and digital solutions where required.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity and governance in collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Support and develop colleagues to build resilient technical capability and effective use of deployed solutions.
  • Maintain records of delivery activity and clearly evidence productivity gains, efficiencies and benefits realised.
