Quantity Surveyor

Overview

Quantity Surveyor role focusing on managing subcontractor procurement, tendering and order placement within budget; preparing valuations, applications and accurate cost reporting; attending site visits and meetings; tracking retention, applications and payments; identifying design alternatives, cost savings and value engineering; supporting multiple projects with strong organisation and efficiency; able to take off and measure from drawings.

Responsibilities

• Managing subcontractor procurement, tendering and order placement within budget
• Preparing valuations, applications and accurate cost reporting
• Attending site visits and meetings (pre-start, design and final account stages)
• Ensuring retention, applications and payments are tracked and up to date
• Identifying opportunities for design alternatives, cost savings and value engineering
• Supporting multiple projects simultaneously with strong organisation and efficiency
• Able to take off and measure from drawings

Requirements

• Degree qualified. Experience in construction/fit out
• Strong technical knowledge in construction
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
• Able to work well under pressure
• Deliver on time and efficiently
