Overview
Quantity Surveyor role focusing on managing subcontractor procurement, tendering and order placement within budget; preparing valuations, applications and accurate cost reporting; attending site visits and meetings; tracking retention, applications and payments; identifying design alternatives, cost savings and value engineering; supporting multiple projects with strong organisation and efficiency; able to take off and measure from drawings.
Responsibilities
- Managing subcontractor procurement, tendering and order placement within budget
- Preparing valuations, applications and accurate cost reporting
- Attending site visits and meetings (pre-start, design and final account stages)
- Ensuring retention, applications and payments are tracked and up to date
- Identifying opportunities for design alternatives, cost savings and value engineering
- Supporting multiple projects simultaneously with strong organisation and efficiency
- Able to take off and measure from drawings
Requirements
- Degree qualified. Experience in construction/fit out
- Strong technical knowledge in construction
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
- Able to work well under pressure
- Deliver on time and efficiently
